Change the Viewer Version

Outline

It is possible to change the version of the Viewer reported to the Second Life SIM by sl_relay through using the -ver option.

Example

For example　sl_relay -ver 1.19.5      sl_relay identifies to the server as Viewer version 1.19.5.

Note

We should assume that there is a good reason why the Second Life Server demands a Viewer with a version number later than some specific version.
Except when it really can't be avoided we strongly recommend updating the Viewer to an appropriate version as soon as possible. The option to change reported viewer version should be avoided.
