Hi, my name is Helios.

I'm new with Modlos and OpenSim. I've installed both on my own computer but I don't know how to connect they between.

I need a full tutorial or documentation about this but I can't find on internet.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Helios,

OpenSim and Modlos are connected through MySQL.
So, you should execute OpenSim with MySQL.

Please see "Getting Start" of http://www.nsl.tuis.ac.jp/xoops/modules/xpwiki/?Modlos%20%28E%29
And when you have any question, please post question here.

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm using the 1.9.12+ version of Moodle and the 1.5.5 version of Modlos.

I installed moodle, Sloodle and Modlos on my computer (with WAMP). I installed OpenSim in the server of my university (Magee Campus in Derry, Nothern Ireland). When I connect MOODLE and MODLOS with my OpenSim I have the message that Modlos can't find the database of OpenSim.

I would like to know if some people think it could be a probleme of firewall of the internet gateway?

Else, my moodle adress's website of my moodle is:http://localhost/moodle/. This website adress don't use my IP adress. Some do think that could be the probleme? If, yes i would like to know if is there a way to change my moodle adress website by an adress who included m IP, like: http://My IP/moodle/ ?

Thank for your answer.

Alexis

Hi again,

I had resolved my previous probleme. Now I have another one, it is explain below:

On the moodle website we could see that the version 1.5.5 of Moodlos supporte the version 7.1.x of OpenSim. So, I had connected my Moodle, Modlos with an 7.1.1 OpenSim version. Modlos look for on the OpenSim's database one table nammed "opensim.regions". The probleme is that the 7.1.1 version of OpenSim do not created this table. That why I have this message:

Database error: Invalid SQL: SELECT regionName FROM regions WHERE uuid='00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000'
MySQL error: 1146 (Table 'opensim.regions' doesn't exist)
Session halted.

If some people could help me.
thank for your answers

Hi Alexis,

Do you use OpenSim with Stand Alone mode?

If it is so, please see

Hi Iseki,

Thankyou for your attention. My Opensim use a MySQL databases. And my probleme is that OpenSim don't created a "regions" table in the OpenSim database.
That why the error message in my MODLOS said: MySQL error: 1146 (Table 'opensim.regions' doesn't exist in OpenSim).
Do you know if is there a solution for that my OpenSim database could create the "region"? Or Maybe I could modify some things inside MODLOS?

Thank for answer
Regards
Alexis

Hi Alexis,

When you use OpenSim with Grid Mode, I have no idea. Sorry.

When you use OpenSim with Stand Alone Mode, OpenSim does not create "regions" table on MySQL at default.
You need to setup StandAlone.ini and StandAloneCommon.ini for create "users" table on MySQL.
Those are at [GridService] section in StandaloneCommon.ini and [PresenceService] section in Standalone.ini.

Thanks.
