I've recently set up opensim svn/trunk with the DTL/NSL Currency Server v0.7.1Dev - with a mysql/standalone/hypergrid setup - within my own lan - I can connect to it great - however i'm having difficulty getting it setup so that external users can connect - i've portforwarded ports 9000, 8008 and 8002 and can see clients connecting on the console - but from their point of view their client never gets past the handshaking stage - I'm using dyndns to map my dynamic ip to an external hostname and setting an entry in the hosts file on the server to map tha same hostname to the internal address - so I can connect using the hostname - anyone care to offer anyadvice/observations/ suggestions as to how i might solve/troubleshoot the problem.
All the information I see regarding the DTL/NSL Currency Server v0.7.1Dev seems to be related to ROBUST - rather than standalone + grid, so does it even work in grid standalone mode +WAN (as it works fine for me on LAN)

Hello
Are you using NAT?
Do you want to connect to your internal server from external viewer of NAT?
If it is so, you need to use BB router with NAT Loopback function (or Hairpin NAT) .
And you need to set global IP address to Regions/Region.ini
OpenSim does not support NAT.
Thanks.
