Online status not functioning

Hi,

I have a problem with modlos in that the Online/Offline status is not updating when avatar logs on or off a grid. All other functions (including correct updates of last login in Avatars list) work well.
The environment in this case is as follows:

Windows Server 2003 64-bit + xampp 1.7.3
Moodle 1.9.12+
Modlos 1.5.5 NOSL
opensim 0.7.1.1

This is not a fresh install- original moodle version on this server was 1.9.10, modlos was 1.5.0 nosl, opensim 0.7.0.2

I have tried the following:

Executing the "clear login information table" from the management tab
Reinstalling the modlos block

Is there something specifically I can look for at the database or code level to see why this is the case or any other particular information I can provide that may give you a good clue to troubleshoot this?

Sorry, because I am not good at English, maybe I cannot understand a detailed comments well. (^^;

I think that this is problem of OpenSim. Modlos use DB of OpenSim.

It seem that Login/Logoff information on OpenSim's DB becomes inaccurate, when Viewer is crashed, Region Server is crashed, timeout of DB is occurred or etc.etc.

It is a difficult that it combines with information on other table of BD, and raises the reliability of data.

This opensim instance is 0.7.1.1 standalone hypergid mode.

I have done the following troubleshooting:

I have created a new avatar account in modlos and checked the avatar information in griduser and useraccounts tables in the opensim database and the information is synchronising correctly with the mdl_modlos_users table in moodle_db.
I have edited avatar information in modlos and all edits correctly synchronise with the useraccounts table in opensim_db.
I have checked the griduser table in the opensim database and the Online field is updating correctly when avatar logs in or out of the grid (viewer is Imprudence 1.3.1).

It appears that for some reason the function opensim_get_avatar_online in modlos is not working correctly in this case. I wonder if the problem could be related to php?

Hyper Grid might be a cause. We do not test Hyper Grid yet. We will check it, too.
If you have solutions of this problem, please teach us.

Thankyou- I have done some more testing and yes, you are correct. It is related to Hyper Grid configuration.
It is easy to reproduce the problem by simply changing the opensim configuration between standalone and standalone HyperGrid.
In Standalone mode, online status in modlos updates correctly. In Standalone HyperGrid mode, it does not.

HyperGrid mode is not essential for my current needs and if you do not have the time to investigate or it is a low prioirty for you and your team, I am happy to use just Standalone or Grid mode- both work perfectly with modlos :)

If you do not have a solution for this in HyperGrid mode, it might be a good idea to just list it as a bug on the wiki to say that modlos cannot provide online status in HyperGrid Mode. The NSL team does excellent work and I would not want to burden you too much when I am sure you have many other important things to do ;)

Sorry, we are a little busy now :(

There is summer vacation of the university in Japan in August - September.
We plan to do the upgrade of our software at that time.
For Modlos, we plan to add operation of money and regions, support for Moodle 2.0 and Hypergrid, etc.etc.
