Compile of Hippo Viewer with VS 2005 at Windows 7 (64bit)

VS 2005

• need Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite Service Pack 1
• need Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista and Windows 7
   

Download and Install needed Software

• Quick Time SDK (need registration)
• DirectX SDK
• Python (Not use Python 3.x)
• CMake (When CMake is installed, select Add CMake to system PATH for ...)
• Cygwin (When Cygwin is installed, add bison, flex and mt to installation list.)
   

Download Hippo.Tool (tools and patches) file that is by NSL

• Hippo.Tool: http://www.nsl.tuis.ac.jp/DownLoad/SoftW​are/Viewer/Hippo.Tool.zip
  • Download of this file is forbidden for the outside of our Univ.
     

Compile

• Hippo Viewer Source Code: http://forge.opensimulator.org/svn/opens​im-viewer/trunk
  • UserID: anonymous, Password: none
• Download Hippo.Tool.zip and decompression it.
  • Check PATH in Hippo.Tool\build2005.bat
  • Copy Hippo.Tool\* to top of Hippo source code directory. Then, indra folder is overwrited.

• Execute VS2005 Command Prompt and run build2005.bat

• When compile finished, you find new viewer at indra\build-vc80\newview\packaged
   

Recompile

• Delete intra\build-VC80
• Run VS2005 Command Prompt
• Run build2005.bat
